Art and Design The Savannah College of Art and Design has Flipbook running in two labs in our animation courses. Here are two comments from some of my students: "This is RIDICULOUSLY EASY!" "I want to purchase the Student Edition." It was a real pleasure to see that the program helped them immediately, since I was able to make timing changes in real time. This was the whole purpose behind buying it in the first place. Formerly we used Premiere which sometimes took up to eight hours to render drawings and was nearly impossible to change timing on without major surgery. After all, it is an editing program. Using it for animation testing was, I explained, like using a hammer to put a screw into the wall. It will go in, but it's not the right tool. FlipBook renders and saves in real time, which amazed these kids and which will significantly improved their animation since they can easily change timing without tears.
